Did you know: Before there was "SAM" orange 🧡... there was "Trying" green 💚!
Created by Sam Labrecque in 2021, dramedy short film "Trying" was shot by an all-woman crew to destigmatize ADHD in media and raise awareness around neurodivergence in girls and women.
After premiering at AMC in 2021, "Trying" screened at the TCL Chinese Theatre as part of HollyShorts' screening series, and then presented at the 2023 Annual International Conference on ADHD.
One year after shooting the film, Sam learned she had ADHD herself, and is now expanding the story to become a semi-autobiographical comedy TV series.
"Trying"
has once again been invited to screen at the 2024 Annual International Conference on ADHD, this year in Anaheim, CA on November 15th at 5pm PST.
Sam will be speaking at the Women with ADHD Townhall with Michelle Price, President of sheADHD Foundation. Information and Tickets Here.
Happy ADHD Awareness Month!
